Flower Vases

Our kids are forever carting home small blocks of wood from the shop.   One day our daughter brought home a weathered chunk with a hole in the top of it, and stuck some withered flowers that had been trimmed from the garden in the hole.  The result was surprisingly nice!  Our flower vases are based on her idea, but include either a straight-walled beer glass, or test tubes to hold water and allow fresh flowers to be displayed.
